Former Indiana star Jalen Hood-Schifino showed off some serious potential in a Sunday night NBA G-League showdown between the South Bay Lakers and the Ignite. The former Hoosier logged a double-double in the contest.
Hood-Schifino scored a game-high 29 points for the Lakers and secured 10 rebounds in a 124-117 win for the Lakers. The rookie guard also dished out five assists and connected on nine-of-12 shots for the game.

As a rookie buried on the Los Angeles' Lakers bench currently, Hood-Schifino has spent time in both the NBA and the G-League this season. The former Indiana guard has played in 10 G-League games this season, averaging 20.1 points, six assists and 4.4 rebounds per game. He's also logging more than 33 minutes.
Hood-Schifino's time on the floor in Los Angeles has been limited. He's made 19 appearances and scored 33 total points, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out eight assists.
Hood-Schifino was a first-round pick in the 2023 NBA Draft after spending one season at Indiana. He was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year and earned second-team All-Big Ten honors.
In his lone season in Bloomington, Hood-Schifino started 32 games and averaged 13.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.
