I really didn’t want to discuss all the Tiger stuff in grand detail because every other media outlet whether it be print, web, television or radio has dissected every last nook and cranny of what happened early last Friday morning.  But since I usually do a small blurb before the weekly picks now is the best time to say a couple things.  First I have no doubt and would be willing to bet that his wife caught him red handed in his adulterous ways (texting, voicemail, email, whatever) and went ballistic (rightfully so, might I add).  I’m sure he was fleeing the house when she started bashing in his Escalade which caused him to crash.  We’re talking about a guy who can put a golf ball 3 feet from the hole from 200 yards out, he’s not going to go careening into fire hydrants in his own neighborhood unless he was loaded (police say no) or being chased and he gunned it (probable).  Secondly, while I would be lying to you if I said this story didn’t peak my curiosity it does astound me how the tabloid media simply has no shame.  He deserves to be judged for his transgressions and will lose some fan loyalty over this but to make it your goal to ruin other people’s lives is shameful.  TMZ, Perez Hilton, etc are nothing more than jealous people with axes to grind with those who have achieved more in life than they ever will.  Tiger did things he should have never done and I personally believe he is sorry he got caught more then he is sorry it happened but I do think he’s got enough problems to work on without scumbag tabloids squeezing out every last detail.  Shame on Tiger but we took to him because he did things on a golf course never before seen not because he serves as a moral compass in our day to day lives.  If the tabloids want to continue to dig up all his floozies and one night stands to sell magazines and generate web buzz that’s their business, but I don’t care enough to continue to react and talk about Tiger unless we’re talking golf.
